How do you create a web page from scratch?

There are several ways to go about it, depending on whether you know HTML or not.

1. If you know HTML code, you have a couple of choices:
   
   
   • You can write your web page in any basic word processing program, such as Notepad or Wordpad. You don't need an HTML editor.
     
     
   • You can make your life a lot easier by using a free program called Arachnophilia which automates a lot of the HTML functions so you don't have to write the code yourself.
     
     
   • You can use the HTML editors built into Front Page, Dreamweaver and others.
     
   
   
2. If you don't know HTML, you can use the WYSIWYG [What You See Is What You Get] functions of programs like Front Page.
