Internet Marketing Resources
If you're a brave soul who's ready to tackle the Internet head on, our hats are off to you. It's a steep learning curve if you're new to computers, HTML or graphics, but if you enjoy a challenge, it can be a lot of fun. Here are some people who helped us immensely when we were starting out. If you need a helping hand at some stage, one (or more) of them may have just the information you need.
Site Design & Planning
1. Ken Evoy
An MD from Montreal, Ken has designed the amazing Site Build It! (SBI) program to help "newbies" build successful content-based web sites. Creating a site with SBI requires no HTML knowledge and comes with a choice of free design templates, although you can use your own design if you prefer.
In his 600-plus-page manual, Ken will lead you through a ten-step process of building your site from scratch and marketing it online. The majority of SBI sites are in the top 17% of most frequently visited sites, thanks to Ken's easy-to-follow strategies for getting lots of free traffic.
If we sound a little over-enthused about Ken, it's because we have used his products for several years now and highly respect his philosophy of 'overdelivering' on his business promises. You can find more information on what SBI offers by visiting the SBI web site.
2. Frank Kern & Ed Dale
Frank and Ed, the original 'underachievers' of internet marketing, are experts on creating mini-sites, one or two page ad sites that offer a single product or service. We use their principles in creating our own mini-sites. You can find out more about Frank and Ed by visiting World Internet Summit Underachiever's
Weekend.
Sales Copy & Content
1. Ken Evoy
As we mentioned earlier, Ken's manual covers all aspects of web design, including how to write the content. And when you submit each page to the SBI online program, it analyses your pages and tells you what you need to do to improve it. Talk about holding your hand through the process...
2. Brett McFall
Another person who's been a guiding light in our online journey is Australia's ad copy guru, Brett McFall. Brett teaches how to write sales copy and is one of the founders of World Internet Summit, providers of cutting edge Internet marketing workshops worldwide. Find out more about Brett at his web site, Ad Secrets Revealed.
3. Shawn D'Souza
We're also great admirers of New Zealander Shawn D'Souza, who provides some excellent material on writing sales copy on your web site. Find out more about Shawn at Psycho Tactics.
Information Products (E-books)
1. Jim Daniels & Joe Vitale
Do you want to offer an e-book on your web site? Jim Daniels and Joe Vitale will show you how to create one in seven days. Get more information at the 7 Day E-book web site.
2. Steve Manning
If you've ever dreamed about writing a book on your area of expertise, Steve Manning's course will take you through the entire process at lightning speed. You can find more information at Write a Book Now.
If you want to see how many competing books there are on your subject and how well they're selling, you can do a quick search on ClickBank by clicking here.
