Love Freebies?

A couple of days ago I received an invitation to Bradley Smith's Easter Gifts giveaway. I registered and took a look at the products and found many valuable items to download. At over 600 products, you're bound to find some that you can use right away.

However, I just noticed that the deadline for registering is April 30th. Once you register, you have until May 30th to download the gifts. So if you want to take advantage of this offer, go immediately to Easter Gifts and register. Just keep in mind that you don't need to clutter your hard drive with everything that's on offer. Just take what you can utilise and don't get distracted.

Until next time,

Great Tips On List Building

Need more traffic to your site? What if you could learn about how to build a great list from two of the Internet's top list building experts for pennies on the dollar?

Here's how you can.

Gary Ambrose and Keith Wellman have just released the entire recording of a private workshop they held recently called "Same List, More Profit"... and you're going to have a chance to see it all on DVD.

And no, you won't be paying the standard workshop fee of $397, or even $97. Gary and Ken started the price for the recording at the low Nickel Mania figure of just 5 cents. The price goes up with each and every sale, so be sure to check it out ASAP. I'm not sure how much it's selling at now, but whatever it is, I'm sure it's still a great bargain.

Here's your chance to learn the same simple, yet very effective tactics these marketers use to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year with their lists. And you get them all for peanuts.

Just in case you missed it, this isn't an ebook or an audio file. They're shipping a real DVD to straight to your door.

The quicker you take action, the lower the price. And once you’re signed up, you automatically gain access to the 100% commissions affiliate program.

So jump on board now to lock in the lowest price possible at Nickel Maniax DVD.

Until next time,

Are Your Headlines The Kiss of Death?

I've just been re-reading Sean D'Souza's excellent articles on the psychology behind writing killer headlines and sales copy.

In case you don't know, Sean is the copywriting wizard from New Zealand who gets rave reviews from marketing masters like Jay Conrad Levinson and David Garfinkel. Sean is so perceptive when it comes to ferreting out the real reasons why people respond to an ad and buy a product - or run like rabbits after reading a couple of words - that many people think he's a trained psychologist. No he's not - he's simply a brilliant observer of human nature whose insights you don't want to miss.

Due to his hectic schedule, Sean's site hasn't been updated in a while, but luckily you can still get access to a wealth of free articles. Just go to Psychotactics.com.

Heard About Free IQ?

Mike Filsaime just alerted me to the launch of a new site by Brad Fallon which created something of an uproar when Brad spoke about it at Mike's workshop earlier this year.

The site is called Free IQ and it's in beta at the moment. It combines elements of YouTube with ecommerce and you can make money by signing up as an affiliate and/or promoting your own products on the site. As with YouTube, you can embed videos on your sites, but the difference is that when people visit the merchant's site and buy a product, you get paid a commission.

Like anything new, it's a good idea to get in early. I just heard about it this morning so I'm letting you know as quickly as possible. You can be one of the first people to place your content on the site and attract more views because of the 'first movers' advantage.

Sign up free by visiting Free IQ Affiliate Program. Get an upgrade at no additional cost during the beta stage, then make sure to invite your friends and/or subscribers to join.

You can learn more about the site on the home page at Free IQ.

Gary Halbert Dies

I had some sad news from Brett McFall earlier this week. Gary Halbert, a truly original copywriting legend, died in his sleep on Easter Sunday.

gary halbertGary was famous for his blunt, humorous and no-holds-barred approach to creating advertising copy. If you're not familiar with his work, you can get a sense of his unique style at his web site, The Gary Halbert Newsletter. Gary's sons, Kevin and Bond Halbert, have chosen to keep the web site live so people can have access to all of Gary's archives.

Australian copywriter Brett McFall wrote an excellent newsletter back in 2002 after returning from a two-day Gary Halbert workshop in the US. It will give you a taste of Gary's approach to writing great ad copy. You can read it at BrettMcFall.com.

Finally, if you'd like to read the moving tributes that have come pouring in over the past week (and if you'd like to add your own), go to John Carlton's blog at JohnCarlton.com.

Michel Fortin is offering free access to four hours of recorded interviews with Gary and John Carlton on his tribute page at MichelFortin.com

Gary Halbert - what an amazing man. And what an incredible contribution he made to the lives of so many marketers.

Gary, rest in peace.

Sick Of Hearing About The Secret?

It seems like everyone and his dog is now talking about The Secret, the documentary about the Law of Attraction that came to the attention of the general public after being featured on Oprah, Larry King Live and a number of other television programs.

Shortcuts To Creating An eBook

Dread the idea of trying to write your own ebook?

Did you know there’s an easy way to create one? In fact there's more than one method.

Forget the pain of wracking your brain as you stare at an empty screen - the days of not knowing what the heck to write can be a thing of the past. Here's how to make that happen:

1. We talked about speed writing in our earlier post on web copywriting. You can use a similar approach to writing an ebook. Jim Edwards and Joe Vitale put together a really comprehensive guide called How to Write and Publish Your Own eBook... in as Little as 7 Days. Featuring 207 pages of instructions and bonus interviews, it's an excellent resource you can follow step by step.

2. Another book that offers a different but equally effective approach is Steve Manning's How To Write A Book Fast (In 14 Days Or Less). This 156-page manual will show you how to get a book published offline as well as online, with tips on how to get an agent and publisher. The principles apply for any written product, and are so simple you can start using them immediately.

3. If you've made up your mind you never want to learn this stuff, outsourcing is the way to go. You can hire a freelance writer who actually loves writing (yes, it takes all kinds) and they'll create an ebook to your specifications.

You'll need to do a little research first so you're clear on what you want. Then be sure you give them straightforward instructions and set up a payment installment plan. If the product isn't up to your standards by the 20-page mark (or whatever you decide is the completion of the first phase), you can pay them to date and cancel the rest of the agreement.

Some of the more popular web sites for finding freelancers are:

  1. www.elance.com
  2. www.rentacoder.com
  3. www.freelanceworkexchange.com
  4. www.freelancewriting.com
  5. www.getafreelancer.com
  6. www.guru.com
  7. www.workaholicsforhire.com
  8. www.writerlance.com

Costs run anywhere from $200 to $800 for an ebook, so state upfront how much you're willing to pay.

So if you've been procrastinating about creating your first ebook, commit to getting it started now and choose the most appealing option. The sooner it's done, the sooner you'll start making money.
